June 18: The Front Door is in!

The moment of truth arrived today.  Would the salvaged entry we purchased actually fit in the house?
The salvaged door cost around $1,500 (thanks to the salvage yard closing down), a brand new one would have cost over $6,000, and was way out of our price range.  The entry is actually about 30mm wider than the hallway.  An added complication is that the hallway walls are not plumb (out by about 30mm top to bottom...

Painting is well underway.   It should be finished by the end of this week.
