December 18: more insulation

Today we had "Envirowall" insulation pumped into the remaining uninsulated walls.

Once the house cools off from this heat wave we'll be able to see if it makes any difference.

November 30: Security Door

Our security door was installed this morning. It hides our nice salvaged fromt door but is required for cross ventilation.  Now to get the fanlight operational...

August 12: Heating

We finally had the heating comissioned today.  Now we can start really enjoying our house!

It was a bit alarming to see our sustainable house using up to 60kWh a day to try and keep us vaguely warm!!

August 7: a new pipe

The plumber connected our gas meter this morning! Now we just need our heater commissioned!

August 6: 3.5 weeks overdue, a gas meter...

...except the pipes are in thw wrong spot and need to be moved...

July 30: some diggers

3 weeks late. Our gas line is installed

They managed to fill the house with gas and cut a Telstra line, nice work

August 3: We're in!

If only it was this neat inside and out now.  Six truckloads and numerous car loads had to go somewhere I guess.....

July 16: Very very close

Today we had carpet laid in the upstairs rooms:

Jul;y 3: Front Door painted

We had to visit today to check the water meter.  it turns out somebody misread the meter and charged us for 102 kl instead of 2 kl.  So I got some door photos while I was there:
